Paul plays with vocalist and percussionist Matthias Wandler as "Die Zwei," a duo that specializes in German party music with lyrics mostly in German. Their hours-long repertoire of oom-pah drinking songs, marches, polkas and waltzes includes contemporary songs that one hears at Oktoberfest in Munich, as well as the old favorites. Die Zwei plays most Saturday evenings from August through October at the Biergarten Haus in Northeast Washington.
Paul is available with opera singer Adrienne Fortini as "Il Duetto," which has a two-hour repertoire of Italian "street" songs along with a number of classic opera arias. Il Duetto performs erratically at Radici Market in Southeast Washington. In addition Paul is available with singer Jodie Knox as "Les Deux," with a two-hour repertoire of French songs by Edith Piaf, Michel Legrand, Jacques Brel and others. Les Deux plays the first Thursday of each month for the wine tasting at Le Chat Noir Restaurant in Northwest Washington. |
