Django in JuneJune 15-20, 2010 Django in June is New England's premiere occasion
to celebrate, study and just plain enjoy the musical tradition unwittingly
launched en France some 75 years ago by Django Reinhardt, now known
by many as "Gypsy jazz." Musicians from all over North America
attend: last year, there were a handful of accordions, as well as scads
of guitars, violins, mandolins and basses. The instruction is top-notch
and the evening concerts and jam sessions are fantastic. Contact: Andrew Lawrence |
